Odilia’s Cherry Kuchen

  • 6 oz butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs and 2 yolks (save two whites for top)
  • 1½ cups sifted flour
  • 1 teas baking powder
  • Grated lemon peel and flavor

Put into greased 9×13 inch pan.  Cover with thickened cherries.  Beat the 2 egg whites.  Add ⅓ cup sugar, spread over top.

Bake in moderate oven, serve with whipped cream.
