- ¼ cup minced parsley
- ¼ cup salad oil
- 3 Tbls vinegar
- ½ teas basil
- ½ teas oregano leaves
- ½ teas salt
- ½ sugar
- 1 pt cherry tomatoes, halved
- Lettuce leaves
Early in day
In medium bowl, mix well first 7 incredients. Add tomatoes, cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. stirring occasionally.
Serve with slotted spoon. Place tomatoes on lettuce on salad plates. Serve remaining dressing on another salad.

Marcella Carberry (1907-1998) was born in Colby, WI and moved to Lodi with her husband Robert shortly after their marriage. Among other jobs, she was the cook at the Sunset Lanes (formerly the Northern Edge, now the Waddle Inn). After her death, her hand-written recipes found their way into the hands of her grandson, Blaze Miskulin–who is proudly sharing this taste of Lodi history with the community.
