I need to focus my spare time and energy on taking care of my elderly mother, engaging with my friends, and making sure that I'm healthy enough to do those things.

Regarding what I have seen from locals (and the messages I have received, and been shown): I am not insulted. I am not angered. I am not triggered.
I am simply... disappointed.
