Reach Out Lodi Hosts Walk-In Vaccine Clinic

This Friday, August 6th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Reach Out Lodi will be hosting a free walk-in vaccination clinic.

The clinic will be providing both the Pfizer (two dose) and Johnson & Johnson (one-and-done) vaccines for free to anyone who wants one. No appointment required, just show up and ask.

The Pfizer vaccine is approved by the FDA for anyone 12 years old or older (persons under 18 will need to show consent from a parent or guardian).  Pfizer is a two-dose vaccine, with a wait of 3-4 weeks between doses–though it’s still effective with a period of up to six weeks between the two jabs.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is currently approved for anyone 18 and older.  This vaccine only requires one dose to be effective.

Masks and social distancing will be in place during the clinic for everyone’s safety.  Community members who receive the vaccine will be asked to remain for 15 minutes afterwards to make sure they’re okay.

If you want to know the facts about COVID vaccines, you can read the most current information at the CDC website.  The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is America’s front line in the science and understanding of disease.  If their website isn’t able to answer your questions, take time to talk with your regular doctor or nurse, and ask friends who’ve been vaccinated about their experiences.
