This week I’m sharing a moment of magic from one of my hikes. One thing I’ve found is that when I have a camera along on a solitary hike – even if it’s just the camera on my phone – I tend to slow down and look at things around me a little more closely, hoping to capture a special image. That was the case when I took this photo along the segment of trail behind the Lodi Middle School. It was a bright morning after a night’s frost and the sun was lighting up all the grasses and other vegetation, including this frost-covered blackberry cane. I took this picture with my phone and was delighted by the level of detail in the photo.
I hope during this holiday season you take the time to walk slowly, look closely, and be amazed by all the beauty and magic to be found…Along the Ice Age Trail.
