Between busyness with holiday preparations and a brain depleted from those activities (!) I couldn’t come up with a topic for this week’s post. So I decided to flash back to two years ago — December 2018 — and share a photo from our Tyke Hike with Santa. You’ll notice that there wasn’t much snow on the ground but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the dozens of children and adults who came out to take a hike with Santa and enjoy some hot cocoa and cookies at the Trail kiosk. (Though you may notice a somewhat skeptical look on the face of the boy sitting three people down from Santa!) It was a great event and I have some wonderful memories of the day.
We’ll miss doing our Tyke Hike with Santa this year and will look forward to reviving that annual tradition in 2021. In the meantime, make sure to take time out from your own holiday preparations to take yourself…and, if you’re fortunate to have a child in your life, a tyke……for a walk Along the Ice Age Trail.
