Main Street Shell Getting Ready

The former Marathon station at the Four Corners is getting new life as Main Street Shell.

Some of the cosmetic work–a new sign and a makeover for the canopy–was done over the summer, but the real work is now underway. Bulk Petrol out of Mequon, WI owns the business, and wants to bring in bigger business while still maintaining the small town feel.

During this week and next, the lot will be torn up to replace the fuel tanks, piping, and pumps.  This, a representative of Bulk said, will assure that the station is able to run safely and efficiently for the next 30 years.  Work on the lot should be done within two weeks, and they hope to be up and running with the basics by the end of November.

In addition to gasoline and the convenience store basics, Main Street Shell has applied for a liquor licence to beer and spirits.  Rounding out the offerings will be an in-store food vendor.  They are currently deciding between a Philly Cheese Steak franchise or a KFC.   The full range of offerings is expected to be available by March.
