The School District of Lodi Board of Education approved Amy Fassbender as the next Primary School Principal at their April 13, 2020 meeting. On July 1, 2020, Ms. Fassbender will start her official duties and will replace Ms. Sherri Endres-Lovell who will be retiring at the end of June.
Ms. Fassbender was selected from 27 applicants. Staff members from the primary school, administrative staff, and Board members participated in the two rounds of interviews which resulted in her selection. Ms. Fassbender has a strong background in literacy, early childhood development, and in building leadership.
Ms. Fassbender has 20 years experience in education and administration. She spent 13 years as an elementary school teacher at Heritage and Prairie Elementary School in Waunakee, teaching first and second grade, prior to becoming a Literacy Coach for three years at Heritage. She then moved to the Baraboo School District in 2016 and took over the principal position at Gordon L. Willson Elementary School. This past year, she also took on additional duties as assistant Director of Teaching and Learning in the Baraboo School district.
Ms. Fassbender has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Elementary Education with a Minor in Spanish and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.
