Mr. Jelinek was selected from 10 applicants. Staff members from the high school, a parent of a high school student, administrative staff, and Board members participated in the two rounds of interviews which resulted in his selection. Mr. Jelinek has a strong background in instruction and in building relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
Mr. Jelinek has 24 years experience in education and administration. He spent 20 years teaching social studies. Prior to becoming the assistant principal at Lodi High School in the fall of 2016, Mr. Jelinek had spent the previous 13 years teaching social studies at Lodi Middle School. Mr. Jelinek has also been actively involved in the Lodi community for many years serving on the Lodi Area Community Endowment Committee, as secretary on the Youth Football Board, as a youth coach, and also serving as a volunteer for the Lodi Stadium Turf Project.
Mr. Jelinek has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Broad Field Social Studies, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and earned his administrative licensure through Viterbo University.
