Every night at 8pm our neighborhood has been gathering responsibly to honor all front line workers. Susie Wimmer organized us and we all show up, gather with our neighbors and listen to a song that she’s picked that has meaning. We started small and now we have 3 streets represented, Palmer Parkway, Woodlawn Avenue and Madison Avenue. Susie was inspired by the videos coming from Italy.
Marty Wimmer waves the American Flag from his front porch and Susie coordinates the music each night. There have even been Chinese Lanterns released into the night sky. We all gather in our driveways with flashlights for this 5 or so minute tribute.
