Voters in the Lodi Valley are strongly urged to vote by absentee ballot for the April 7 Spring Election and Presidential Preference Primary due to the COVID-19 emergency situation.
By order of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, polling locations will be open on Election Day, but you are urged to vote absentee ballot. To do so, please note the following important deadlines as well as procedures:
Please act by Wednesday, March 18, if you need to register. If your name or address has changed since the last election, you must register with current information. You can check your registration status at https://myvote.wi.gov and click on “My Voter Info” at the top.
Beginning Thursday, March 19, voters who are not registered MUST do so at the Clerk’s office in person. Voter registration MUST include Proof of Residence.
If you are unable to find your voter information online, please contact the Clerk of your municipality.
To request an absentee ballot online, go to https://myvote.wi.gov and click on “Vote Absentee” and be sure to provide (upload) photo ID. If you do not have internet access, please contact your municipal clerk.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is Thursday, April 2. You are urged NOT to wait, due to possible delays in mail delivery.
All absentee ballots MUST be received at at the polling place before the close of polls on April 7 to be counted. Voters may return a ballot in person. City of Lodi staff are suggesting that ballots be dropped into the payment drop box outside City hall doors. This box will be checked and sanitized regularly.
