Good morning! The federal and state government has issued new guidance related to groups of more than 10 people congregating together, which means that the District needed to create a new plan to meet the needs of our students and families. Our goal is get an electronic device into the hands of those students who do not currently have access to one at home. In order to distribute Chromebooks to Elementary/OSC students and I-Pads to Primary School students (K-2), we plan to use a drive up approach so that students and families do not have to exit their vehicles to pick up their devices. 4K students will not be issued a device.
Today is the only day we will be handing out electronic devices, except by individual appointment for families that cannot attend today.
Primary/Elementary/OSC
Starting at 1:00pm today until 8:00pm tonight parents will be able to drive up at either the Primary or Elementary/OSC building to pick up their child’s electronic device. If you have children at both buildings you will need to drive through at each school. We encourage families not to enter the school buildings unless absolutely necessary.
Middle/High School
The Middle and High school will be open from 1:00pm – 8:00pm today for families to pick up essential personal belongings and electronic devices if needed. We believe most students already have their devices and belongings at home, so we do not anticipate a large number of students in either building. Please only come to the Middle or High school if there is something absolutely necessary your child needs to pick up.
Medications
Parents can pick up medications from the office staff from 1:00pm – 8:00pm today if needed. If it is not absolutely necessary for you to have the medication at home, please leave it at school.
Each family should decide whether or not they feel this is a safe plan for their family. We encourage you to make the best decision for your family.
More information will be forthcoming regarding our plans to implement online instruction after spring break.
If the schedule for today does not work for your family, please contact the building principal and he/she will set up a time for you to come in and pick up your child’s device.

¡Buenos días!
