Dear Friends,
I’m writing this letter today to introduce myself. My name is Karla Faust and I am running for the Supervisor 4 seat on the Town of Lodi Board. I am excited and proud to throw my hat in the ring and work to gain your vote for me to represent YOU.
Sometimes we need someone to tell us when we have spinach stuck in our teeth. As a citizen, you need honest, unvarnished feedback about your strengths and weaknesses about your community; that is me! I will do my best to listen openly to the concerns of our community members with the goal of building a better Town of Lodi, one that thrives economically and maintains the charm on our “small town” neighborhoods.
As a former marketing manager and now small business owner, my objectives are straightforward:
- Ensure unbiased information is provided to everyone and maintain our sense of community.
- Offer sound financial management that maintains our current high standards for nice parks, good roads and low taxes.
- Listen to the concerns of all our citizens and do my best to research and find viable solutions or answers.
I consider myself not just a citizen of this township, but rather a citizen PARTICIPANT. I believe that what you put into your community – you will get out of it. I have served and participated in several wonderful organizations within our community:
- Lodi & Lake Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce, President – 2010 – 2015
- Member of Lodi & Lake Wisconsin Chamber – since 2008
- Optimist Club of Lodi, President 2017, current Vice President
- Activate Lodi, founding member
- OSC Board – past board member, founding member
- Blessed Trinity Church – past board member – finance committee
- Lodi High School Booster Club – current member
My experience on these various boards have given me a wealth of knowledge in dealing with budgets, planning and putting programs together for our community. Most importantly, I’ve learned that putting people first and being approachable is something needed in our community.
Personally, I have lived in the Lodi area – Harmony Grove and Okee – with my husband, Mike, and our three sons’, Riley, Connor & Quinn, for over 25 years. Our oldest is a freshman in college and our twin sons are juniors at Lodi high School. Together, Mike & I, own and run a construction and property management business in downtown Lodi. As of mom of three, a business owner, and a community volunteer I understand the word “busy” and I also understand how a balanced budget is imperative to be successful. I would like to be your voice on the Town of Lodi board and be someone who will act only in the best interest of our town and its bright future. I hope you agree and vote for me on April 7, 2020!
We live in a great area – the Town of Lodi! Let’s work together to make it an even better place to live, work and play!
Thank you,
Karla Faust
Currently, I live in Okee, in the township of Lodi, with my husband, Mike, and our 3 sons’ Riley, Connor and Quinn, along with a fat, but lovable, dog named Bob. We have lived in the Harmony Grove and Okee area for over 25 years.
I am a former marketing/promotions manager with the Penda Coporation. I left my position after having 3 young boys under the age of 2, and stayed home full-time until all of our sons’ were enrolled in the Lodi School system. Once they were in school, I joined my husband in our business and became the property manager for our companies.
My hobbies are all about staying active – I love running, kickboxing and attending the 5:15 a.m. class with CREW on Monday, Wednesday, Friday at the high school. Plus, we enjoy watching our sons’ play football, basketball, baseball and run track. In our “free time” you can find us on the boat on Lake Wisconsin or attempting to play golf. (That’s me, my husband is actually pretty good at golf!)
