The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WI DOT) lists three major projects that will affect the Lodi Valley in the next few years. (All quotes are from the WI DOT)
Hwy 60 from Lodi to Sauk (2020)
The purpose of the project is to resurface the existing WIS 60. The mill and overlay project begins just east of the Wisconsin River crossing in Prairie du Sac and extends east approximately 10.5 miles to Riddle Road at the edge of Lodi.
This is planned for 2020. 60 will remain open, but there will be lane closures. During construction, 113 to 188 may be a better route.
Hwy 60 & the Interstate (2022)
This project will replace the interstate bridges on I-39 at WIS 60, in Columbia County. The existing ramps will be reconfigured into a diamond interchange and WIS 60 will be reconstructed from Sunset Drive to Pine Hollow Road.
If you take the Interstate to work, this is probably going to be a major headache. Depending on where you live, you should look at getting on the interstate at CS or V.
Hwy 113 from Dane to Waunakee
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is in the process of developing plans for replacing the pavement for the northbound lanes on this 3.87-mile section of WIS 113. In addition, the bridge over Six-Mile Creek in the village of Waunakee will be replaced, guardrail will be upgraded, and some curb ramps will also be replaced.
This isn’t planned to start until 2023.
