Columbia County Sheriff’s Department reports they were alerted to an ongoing domestic abuse incident on Cty V in the town of Lodi on the afternoon of January 11th. The incident involved two adult men involved in a family dispute.
According to the press release, the incident continued to escalate and one of the men grabbed a rifle and a fight over the weapon took place. During the struggle, the rifle was discharged inside the residence. No one was seriously injured during the incident
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office arrested one male, 20. The individual was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Battery, Domestic Enhancer, OWI 1st, Going Armed While Intoxicated, and Reckless Endangering Safety.
