Now through November 22nd, the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center Range in Waunakee is open to the public so hunters can sight-in their rifles before the start of deer-gun season. The facility is open to the public from 9:00am to 4:00pm. There is a $10 fee.
The availability of this resource is a result of an ongoing relationship between the WI DNR and the Dane County Sheriff’s Department, which runs the training facility. With the temporary closing of the Columbia County firing range, the Dane County Training Center is a good alternative for Lodi-area hunters.
The Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center is located at 5184 Hwy 19 in the Town of Westport, one mile east of the intersection of Hwy 113 and County Trunk I.
