Early in November, Justacy Lind moved her Back to Earth Massage business from the mini-mall next to Alkar and the Main Street Market to the 113 South Main office complex (the old City Hall).
Ms. Lind, a Lodi native, has been practicing massage therapy for 5 years, including therapeutic and relaxation massage, alleviation of migraines and headaches, and an array of standard massage techniques. She is also 16 credits into her studies to be certified for treating veterans and others who suffer from PTSD. Massage may sound like an odd treatment for PTSD, but it has been shown to be a powerful tool to help combat veterans reintegrate to peacetime.
[A] 2012 study focusing on how integrative therapies can help promote reintegration among veterans found that those participants who received massage therapy reported significant reductions in physical pain, tension, irritability, anxiety/worry and depression.
–American Massage Therapy Association, 2016
The Back to Earth Facebook page lists several of the services available–including in-home sessions (for an additional fee).
