Lodi Schools Locked Down After Student Threat

Lodi schools were locked down yesterday morning following a threat of violence between two students. The lock-down was a precaution, and followed standard safety protocols.

The 15-year old male who made the threat left school grounds before police could arrive.  School officials felt the nature of the threat, combined with the student leaving the facilities, was sufficient to trigger safety protocols and institute the lock-down.

Lodi police were able to locate and question the student in short order.  Once it was determinded that there was no danger of violence, the schools returned to normal operations.  No injuries or violence were reported in relation to the incident.

Those involved have been referred to juvenile authorities.
